Youth ministries

NMZ Youth

Students in grades 7-12 meet Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm-7:45pm from September though May to dig into God's Word and learn Biblical truths that will help them face the challenges of today and tomorrow. Check the Events page for Summer Youth Series meeting dates and times.

Mountaineers Kids Club

Join the journey! Children in grades PK-5 search God's Word and build faith that moves mountains. Mountaineers Club meets Wednesday evenings 6:30pm-7:45pm from September through May and uses the Gospel Project curriculum. Transportation is available from Continental.

Children's Church

Available during the worship service for children  in grades K-5, Children’s Church is not just childcare. It is an intentional time of teaching children about Jesus. Leaders use a curriculum that presents material in a way that is understandable and fun.

Sunday School

Three youth Sunday School classes are taught by dedicated volunteers. The two children’s classes (grades K-3 and 4-6) learn about who God is, His beautiful creation, and His immeasurable love for us. Youth in grades 7-12 dig deeper into God’s Word and find answers to issues young people face today. Past series include “Jesus and Our Generation” by Ben Stuart, “Finding Truth” by Francis Chan, and “The Book of 1 Peter” by Kyle Idleman.

Vacation Bible School

Summertime means Vacation Bible School at NMZ! Each year our volunteers plan a fun week of themed activities, lessons, crafts, and snacks for students in grades PK – 12. Past themes include “Christmas in June” and “The Mad Scientist”.

Children in grades PK-6 learn who God is, how He loves us, and how we can love Him. In 2023 the kids took a trip "Around The World" and learned about missionaries and different cultures.
Youth in grades 7-12 examine topics from a Biblical perspective and learn how to live for Christ in an ever-changing world. In 2023 the youth went through the "Life on Mission" series and learned how to be missionaries in their daily lives.
