Our story begins in 1856 when a log cabin was built on a hill above Powell Creek. This original church was called Powell's Creek Church. A new building was constructed in 1875 near the log cabin under the name of North Mount Zion Church. The current building was constructed in 1964 on ground just north on State Route 15 and the original land is now the North Mount Zion Cemetery. For more than 160 years, North Mount Zion has been serving the community, teaching the Word of God, and loving one another. Come, be part of this story.
